Bill Lockitt the Artist
Bill was born in Birmingham, England, in January 1953. He has spent most of his life on the boarders of the Snowdonia National Park in Wales and his art has been influenced by the rugged and ever changing nature of the Welsh countryside. Bill studied at Llandrillo College and Bangor University, North Wales, obtained his Bachelor of Arts through the Open University and went on to complete a Master of Education Degree and Doctorate with the University of Wales.
His paintings reflect his interest in colour, form and minimalist impressionism. After a severe accident in 1999 he used his art as a means of expression, communication and rehabilitation. The experience has had a significant impact upon the methods used to develop his art and this is reflected in the active and vibrant nature of the paintings produced since 1999. Bill specialises in acrylic oils and produces many of the canvases used for his paintings.
You can view Bill’s paintings in his Art Gallery.
